DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION OF APP
Check the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store to make sure that you have the latest version of the app. Most connection issues are solved with a simple update to the latest version.
If your LINKA will not lock or unlock, follow the troubleshooting steps in this section. The most common sources of locking/unlocking issues are:
1) Stall troubleshooting
2) Problems with connection
3) Battery too low
4) LINKA won't respond
Stall Troubleshooting
When locking your LINKA, you may see the locking ring start to lock for a couple of seconds, stall, and then retract. You will get an alert on your phone telling you that your bike is unlocked.
This may be caused by the accumulation of dust along the locking ring during transport. To solve this problem, try to lock your LINKA again - this time, pull the locking ring as it struggles to close to help it along. Proceed to lock and unlock your LINKA five times this way. This will clear the dust that has settled on the locking ring.
Problems with connection
If your lock is having trouble connecting with your phone and you need to lock or unlock immediately:
Using phone-less access
1. Lock LINKA by pressing its Power button quickly two times. Note: This will only work if you had Quick Lock turned on before your phone disconnected from the lock.
2.Unlock LINKA using your Phoneless Access Code.
Resolve Connection issues
To troubleshoot issues connecting the lock to your app, try step 1. If that does not work, move on to Step 2, and so on.
1. Toggle your phone’s Bluetooth off and then on again
2. Terminate the app completely by viewing all open apps on your phone and manually swiping the LINKA app away or pressing X in the upper right corner. Then, open the app again.
3. Relaunch the LINKA app > tap Menu in the upper left corner > tap on the name of your lock > tap the lock icon in the bottom left corner of the app
4. Go to Settings icon in the bottom right corner of the home screen> Remove Lock > Pair the lock again
5. Delete the app and reinstall it from the app store
6. Restart your phone
Battery Too Low
When the battery is drained below 10%, LINKA will not lock. Please plug your LINKA into a power source and let it charge overnight. To learn about charging, see the “Charging LINKA” section.
LINKA won't respond
1) Turn on and off bluetooth on your smartphone to disconnect
2) Activate LINKA factory reset by quickly pressing the button on your LINKA 20 times.
3) Charge your LINKA using a high-current power supply of at least 2 amps. If the LED doesn't turn on, try using a different cable and power supply.
