LINKA's LED is the best way indicator of the state of your LINKA lock. Here’s what each color means:
No LED light
LINKA is asleep. To wake up your lock, press the power button once. You will see a red light blink.
Blinking Blue
Discoverable. After you wake up your lock, the LED will blink blue. It is now in discoverable mode and is ready to connect to your LINKA app using Bluetooth. Your LINKA will be in discoverable mode for 90 seconds before going back to sleep.
When unlocking, LINKA will also blink blue.
Solid Yellow
Active Pairing. The LED is solid yellow while your lock is pairing with the LINKA app. This process should take less than 10 seconds. If the yellow light stays for more than 20 seconds, please visit our “Troubleshooting” section.
Blinking Green
Paired and Ready. After you have successfully paired your lock with the LINKA app, the LED will blink green. Your app will also say “Connected”. Now, you will be able to lock, unlock, and control your LINKA with your phone.
Blinking Yellow
LINKA blinks yellow while it is in the process of locking.
Flashing Red While Locking
When locking, if LINKA hits a spoke on your bicycle, it will stall and retract. The LED will flash red. You should check your wheel and the lock to remove any obstruction. If your LINKA lock stalls without any obstructions, please visit our “Troubleshooting” section.
No LED or Blinking Red While Already Locked
When locked, your LINKA will have no LED. On the most recent firmware, your LINKA will blink red when locked. Both are normal.
Blinking Purple
LINKA is ready to accept your phoneless access code (PAC). As you enter your PAC, your LINKA will continue to blink purple.
Solid Red
While charging, LINKA will display solid red.
Solid Green
When it is fully charged, LINKA will display solid green.
Solid Purple
When performing firmware upgrades, LINKA will display solid purple.
